Political posturing is one reason why politicians are widely distrusted. They often say one thing and do another. However, the same thing can be said concerning the church. We say we deny self and then spend thousands on our own fleshly comforts. We say we trust God when troubles come and then fret and fuss just like our unbelieving neighbors. We say we love all people but then we ignore or neglect certain groups of people. We say we want God's fulness but then we make decisions that thwart the work of the Holy Spirit within us.
Prepared for Feb 22, 2019 with prayer that this thought will stimulate thinking about Jesus and His Kingdom
